I have no issues being discreet, although his friend Bellamy is now also aware.
Can nightblood be transferred like that without study? Normal human blood needs to be looked at to determine if the recipient is allergic to another person's blood. Not to mention I don't want to have to bleed one of you dry if someone else gets hurt.
I'm concerned. It seems like this monster attack wasn't exactly a one-off event here.
[He could also consider storing it but he's not even sure of the shelf life of nightblood. Something else he should look at as well.]
Yes I know that Bellamy does now, it was a surprise to the three of us.
I do not know the answer to that. It was never an option with my people. If the Commander bled out, they bled out. We didn't take blood from other Nightbloods. Clarke's mother is a doctor and she came up with how to make Nightbloods through science. I think it unlikely giving us red blood would be very helpful.
I will have to study it more in order to ensure there is some sort of backup if any of you ever needed it. I'm sure you know this already, but healers can't simply stand off to the side and let something happen if we can do something about it.
I am not entirely certain our blood is similar despite being black. Mine is born, theirs is caused by science. If Clarke has offered you hers, I suppose I can allow you mine.
[This is very difficult for Lexa to allow. Her blood is supposed to be sacred. She doesn't like the idea of giving it to scientists, in case they want to make more like Clarke and Murphy. But it is possible they will be injured again.]
I would appreciate the chance to study it. I can look for differences between the two types--it may become relevant, although I hope it never does.
[Julian will do his best to tread carefully due to the cultural significance of the blood, but that certainly won't stop him if someone's life is imminently in danger.]
I am fine. I have been helping Clarke in the aftermath, she is coming up with many plans with Stephen Strange about what we all could be doing. I have offered to train people in self-defense, Displaced and average civilian. I have also agreed to be in a vigilante group, whatever that may be, but the details are unknown as of right now. In exchange I will be trained myself in firearms.
I am attempting to get a job as a research technician in a laboratory, since my medical credentialing holds no weight here. I hope to move up quickly to gain access to equipment for "side projects". I'm also trying to help Garak get his tailoring business set up as quickly as possible.
[Julian also has Opinions on that vigilante group.]
Do be careful with that group. It may become a target or paint targets on the Displaced.
They may be in need of medical expertise here, so it's possible you could move faster than expected.
The Displaced are already targeted. It is wise to be ready to fight. You should learn yourself, in case we find ourselves in danger again, which is inevitable. Ask Garak to assist you. As we both know, he is far more than only a tailor.
Perhaps, although medical training takes several years where I'm from. I will likely have to practice underground for the most part unfortunately. At least for now.
It's not learning to defend ourselves that concerns me. It's the vigilantism.
He is far more than onlya tailor.
He's the best tailor I've ever come across. Possibly in our corner of the galaxy.
[He actually derives a bit of amusement from this, keeping Garak's "secret". Of course Lexa is no fool. She knows Garak can fight.]
I would like to learn for defensive purposes, yes.
[Julian also has a few tricks up his sleeve. He's fast and has quick reflexes, as well as strength beyond what one would expect out of his slight frame, but that's certainly not enough against actual monsters.]
Excellent. I offer my own services. While Garak is very skilled, I've seen for myself that people have a difficult time training their closest companions.

I will let you know when I have access to proper equipment to do the analysis.

How are you holding up after the attacks?

And you?

I can also offer to teach you first aid, if Clarke hasn't already done so.
